TODO: More in-depth write up. TLDR, basically this judge way back when threw a bunch of people in prison and said “until you give me what I want, you are not leaving.” Now the American legal system allows for you to just return whatever you want. This has been used for both good and bad.

3. Habeas corpus

Related to that last one, habeas corpus has been very… prevalent recently because some people have decided it’s okay to send others to El Salvadorian prisons without due process. WE HAVE PROTECTIONS FOR THIS! It’s called habeas corpus.
